This prestigious event, organised in partnership with Montpellier’s town hall and university, was of crucial importance to the CEÏBA Foundation in its mission to safeguard the botanical garden’s century-old trees.
The funds raised at the Gala will be used to continue the foundation’s activities, such as soil decompaction, reforestation and renaturation, with the aim of preserving this part of Montpellier’s natural heritage. Over the last three years, the Foundation has raised €200,000 for the Jardin des Plantes.
The evening brought together 23 committed corporate partners, demonstrating their support for actions to protect urban nature. We would like to thank all the guests who attended, and especially our Gold and Platinum partners: Crédit Agricole du Languedoc, SVA, Tecsol (Sol Solidaire association), A + Architecture, Arquitectonica, L35 Architectes, Zoumai, BFPL Avocats, BET Durand, PER, DGL, Traiteur Grand, Lexnot notary public and OASIIS.
In addition to its annual Gala, the CEÏBA Foundation provides support and advice to local authorities developing nature in the city through concrete projects.
In close collaboration with renowned experts Jean MUS, Bruno RICCI, Jean-Paul VIGUIER, Léo MARGUERIT and Yann FORTUNATO, it is implementing initiatives aimed at renaturing urban spaces and countering the harmful effects of climate change.
Alongside this, the CEÏBA Foundation has launched a social media campaign: 1 follower = 1 tree planted. Thanks to this reforestation initiative, over 5,000 trees have been planted in a forest that had been decimated in the Cantal region, demonstrating the power of collective action to restore our environment.
Nicolas Chambon, Chairman of the CEÏBA Foundation, expressed his gratitude to all the donors for their support and commitment to preserving our natural heritage. Together, let’s help create greener, more resilient and nature-friendly cities for future generations.
